The Academy located at NoonKopir in Kitengela, Kajiado County is a private institution supporting orphans and other less fortunate children in the area. Currently, it has a total of 250 pupils and is seeking support from well-wishers to enable it to provide quality education to the needy children.
PaRD International based in Germany focuses on promoting sustainable development by creating partnerships and networks among Interfaith/Religious organizations, multi sectoral groups, Civil Society Organizations, Academia and other non- State actors. IDEA is a member of PaRD and also a founding Member of the PaRD Africa Voice, an affiliate of PaRD International which is a consortium of Interfaith/Religious organizations, CSO's and other non- State actors in Africa enhancing and promoting sustainable development and activities.
AU ECOSOCC is a leading organ of the African Union coordinating the participation of Civil Society Organizations, NGO's and other non-State actors such as the Media, the Private sector, Interfaith/Religious groups, the Trade Unions and professional organizations and associations among others in the development of the African conti8nents.
The two main roles of ECOSOCC are to provide Advisory opinion to the leadership of the African Union on policy formulation and, to enhance and popularise the vision, mision and the activities of the African Union.
IDEA is involved in various research activities in areas of Education, Data collection and Policy formulation in Economic and Political formulation. Previously IDEA was involved in the establishment of the Disaster Risk Management bill and policy for the government of Kenya which was championed and financed by the World Bank and Nipon Koei of Japan. IDEA has also been involved in various research activities with other institutions such as the African Center for Technology Studies(ACTS), Moi University and the Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
IDEA champions good governance practices with respect to human and property rights, freedom of expression, association and the rule of law. IDEA is a founder member of the Kenya National chapter of the African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council (AU ECOSOCC) which brings together Civil Society Organisation, NGO's and other Non-state actors in Kenya to build a solidarity for advocating on human rights, and good governance issues.
IDEA conducts capacity building activities by providing training opportunities for stakeholders e.g. Media, Civil Society Organizations, NGO’s and other stake-holders to sensitize and create awareness on Human Security, Climate Change, Environmental, Urban Development and Planning issues. IDEA organizes workshops/seminars/conferences including forums to provide opportunities for sharing and exchanging experiences, knowledge and information.
IDEA has been involved in making follow-ups to international partnerships engagements between Kenya and other developed Nations. In the past, IDEA jointly with Japan International Coorporation Agency (JICA) and other stakeholders of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development Trade, (TICAD) e.g. The National Treasury and Planning, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Bank etc. to make a follow up on the TICAD 5th Conference held in Yokohama, Japan in 2013.
IDEA organized forums to bring the private sector of Japan and Kenya together to discuss how to develop a good understanding for doing business and for working together to create a good relationship.
IDEA collaborates, cooperates and enters into affiliations and partnership with other international organizations and institutions to enhance sustainable development and also to promote development Agenda.
IDEA also works with Interfaith and Religious organizations to champion Unity, Peace and the 2063 development Agenda of the African Union.
